Spider webs and bats!

It's getting closer to the most spooky night of the year!  Halloween is such a fun night and actually we prep for it all month long.  One of my favorite ways to mark the season is through my clothing and accessories.  Aside from all of the decorations, costume parties, pumpkin carving and spooky baking, wearing Halloween theme clothes is a fun way to express your darker side!  Now, don't get me wrong, these gorgeous pieces can be worn throughout the year and I absolutely do! It's always time for some vintage inspired spiderwebs and bats!

This Daphne Jumper in Double Spiderwebs is from the amazing Miss Fortune!  Laura's styles are always to die for!  This 1940's inspired jumper has a cropped high waist, so it works great with high waist jeans or skirts.  It features dolman sleeves. You may remember my feature of the single web jumper a couple of years ago, now those are still available, but I love this new double web!  It's twice the creepy!  This is available is four color combinations, I am wearing black and charcoal.  I highly recommend browsing the Miss Fortune site because you are going to fall in love with a lot of things, like the Snake Charmer Jumpers!  Amazing!

Now, I'm "Going a Little Batty" over this new Sweet Midnight Punny Pocket Skirt!  It's so cute!  The purple applique bat pockets are a perfect size to hold your phone and whatever else you may need to carry.  I adore the rhinestone trim on their wings and eyes, it's such a pretty touch!  This skirt has a perfect length to hit right below the knee.  It has a little stretch and zips in the back.  Talk about someone who lives the Halloween life, Sweet Midnight's owner surely does!  You can find adorably, frightful clothing all year long there!  You are going to love the whole collection of the Punny Poodle Skirts.

In Full Bloom with Karina Dresses

Spring is Here!

Finally, Springtime has arrived!  The weather has been great after so many weeks of constant rain.  I love this time of year!  The flowers and tress and trees are just gorgeous that have started to bloom.  It also makes me feel like actually putting a dress on fixing up lol!  This particular dress is one that is perfect for the season and throughout the summer too. I love bold tropical colors and especially this one with my favorite color of blue as the background!  The 50's Layla Floral Cross Over Dress in Royal Blue from Top Vintage is stunning! It has a generous fit with material that has stretch to it.  You'll love the fitted bodice that is a wrap over style. The wrap is tied with straps that you can style however you like. Mine are tied to a bow here. It has a v neck and you can make it more conservative or more revealing depending on the look you want to go for.  The Layla has cap sleeves and a full skirt that hits mid calf.  This style is truly one that I think anyone can wear and look great in it!

The "Lola" Shirtwaister Dress in Large Black & White Houndstooth print is the perfect black and white dress for any occasion.  I love the bold print, as it can be really fun or more sophisticated. This style dress from Rock n Romance is very comfortable and easy to wear, it's soft material flows nicely. It features a solid black collar and contrasting red belt for a great pop of color.  I chose red accessories to continue on with the theme.  The Shirtwaister has larger black buttons on the bodice as well. It's a New Year!

Reach for the stars this New Year! I have thought a lot about things I need to work on personally and financially and hope to reach those goals of mine that I have set!  Do you make goals or resolutions for New Year's?  One thing we can all get on board with is shining a little more, through your actions and even through your wardrobe!  Yes, believe me and go that extra step each day to make yourself  feel good!  You may put a little extra makeup on or do your hair, but feeling better about yourself will make you a better person to others!  I have to tell myself that more this year.  Successful people get up, get ready and get it done! 

One designer that truly shines is Gatsbylady London!  If you are looking for anything from a flapper dress to a maxi style and even casual day wear, you can find it here.  These dresses are so gorgeous! Faith Swing Dress- Glamour Bunny

This stunning reproduction lucite bag is from Kookidelou.  She designs these bags and even lucite heels!  It's worth treating yourself for sure.  I have gotten so many compliments on my bag! Now, they are limited edition and only less than 100 remain. 

Every look must be complete with some amazing shoes.  You can find a heel for every occasion with Bettie Page Shoes.  These comfy 3" heels are easy to wear and they do look great!  They are the Jolie style and feature a suede and leather look mix with a pretty bow detail. Addison Striped Swing Dress- Voodoo Vixen

I wore a turban from Jazzafine that you can find on Etsy. Her designs are so amazing!  This one is a gorgeous green velvet with floral accents.  I love the look these turbans give!  They are easy to wear and look so pretty.  Just put your hair up in a twist or bun, add your turban and go! 

My jewelry is from Bow and Crossbones fakelite collection and for this look I'm wearing chocolate brown and mulberry.  Stacking bangles is so fun!
